Why the heat in the race for salvation. Do you know the Honeytree song Maranatha Marathon?
ParsonWayne
Dec 24, 2016
I don't think I have ever heard it. Hum a few lines for me.

When (s)he runs (s)he never wearies, when (s)he walks (s)he never faints. (S)he is striving for the Master and cheered on by the saints. Other runners may be healthy but a better race is on. Won't you come and join the runners? --Maranatha marathon. You can tell the Christian runner by the smile upon (her)his face and the song within (her)his heart that helps (her)him keep the pace...and (s)he'll run all the way to heaven by God's amazing grace and if you listen to the runner you can hear (her)his song of praise.....
Did I sing loud enough?

Glad you like them. Maybe you can hear it on youtube. Somebody might be singing it. It's a country type tune.
Hope you are have a wonderful Christmas.

I had a great Christmas, leading the service and the response of the congregation. Our pastor fell off of his tractor and broke both wrist bones, so he asked me to lead the service. Then later in the day, my Pittsburgh Steeler's won their division and are in the play-offs.

That sounds like a wonderful Christmas for you. My goodness, even your team won. It's funny how something like that makes you feel happy and alive.
Our Christmas was quiet. I had hoped to be called to sing but everybody here was healthy so Saturday Mass was passive for us. It was jam packed because the kids' choir sang at that Mass.
I can't begin to convey how hard it is to sit quietly while some one else is singing the hymns you sang for years as soloes. I'm glad God gave you the chance to lead. I know how much that means.

We got about a foot of snow overnight. It's beautiful when you're inside watching out the window! Can't go anywhere anyway. My power wheelchair decided to just stop. We're waiting for a repairman to call and help hubby fix it. The call is now 3 hours late...guess it's time for a mug of hot chocolate!
pixipixil
Dec 17, 2016
Hi Joyce. Hope they can fix it easily. How was your hot chocolate? Did you have it with marshmallows?

Dec 18, 2016
Hi Pixi! Hopefully it should be an easy fix, but hubby can't find the problem so he needs the repairman's input. So in the meantime I'm struggling around with my walker. Of course I had marshmallows in my hot chocolate! Is there any other way?? ;) It's supposed to warm up to 20 degrees today....We're having a heat wave!!

Cute couple ;)

I don't think I've had a homemade gingerbread cookie since I was in grade school. My aunt just had the one cutter with both arms raised. I don't think I've ever seen a cookie cutter with one arm lowered.

For those with a warped sense of humor, the Mutter Museum in Philadelphia (medical oddities) has a conjoined twins (formerly known as Siamese Twins) cookie cutter.

But it would be a lot easier to be a surgeon on Siamese cookies. Wouldn't even need a medical degree - only a knife. I bet I could even operate on them with my eyes closed and do it with my teeth.

Before cooking them, you can move the arms and legs in any position. I like to make some running.

Sorry, this went under the wrong comment. Somebody commented about not ever seeing a cutter with the arms down. I commented under that on the other page but somehow it didn't end up in the right place. Sorry about that.

Oh, I had never thought of moving the arms and legs. animalvr143, you made your comment under the correct one.
