I've had a bad week - first, I broke my glasses and I had to go with lined bifocals with a thicker lens that I'm used to wearing.
Friday, I had a dentist appointment - I had 2 teeth pulled, including what appears to be my 6th wisdom tooth, there better not be4 any more teeth in the back of my mouth. However, the x-rays showed some bone loss in my jaw, which is quite likely a sign that I'll be starting chemotherapy next week, because one of the signs of multiple myeloma is bone loss.
I love Veggie soup. I make a lot of it and serve it cold in the summer, hot in the winter. I also mix other soups in it at times. Love soup. Easy to make and freezes well. Easy if you are alone.
I love good, hearty, home-made soups. Just made a large pot of ham and white limas (which also has onion, and fresh mushrooms. I always saute the onions and mushrooms before adding them to the soup. Adds a bit more flavor.
I've got to make pea soup with my Christmas ham bones soon. I just finished the vegetable soup and stuffed pepper soup I had in the freezer. It is cold and a little snowy here in Michigan today but I am making a pork roast. I'll have enough leftovers for a few days. Stay warm and cozy everyone.
We're finally getting some nice cool weather here. We get about 3-4 weeks of "winter" but the days usually come in threes and fours and are interspersed throughout Jan and Feb.
