Beautiful. Love the scent. Had no hurricane damage to my house--twigs, small limbs down in back yard, but that's all. Big tree limb came down next door and part of his fence. Power was out 5 days so had to go to grocery store this morning and restock refrigerator. Didn't have much in there so didn't have much to throw out. Just bought bare essentials to last a few days.

So do I jas and when I can't sleep, just rub a little into my temples and go off fairly quickly as it has a natural sleep inducer in the oil. Hugs.

Sevenoaks in England, AS. I got the song from "Nightbirds on Nantucket" by Joan Aiken, a book I read over and over as a child. No idea, then, that it was part of a series, or that it was considered "steampunk". Didn't even know "steampunk" existed in the sixties and seventies.

All the comments are appreciated and enjoyed.

I've had a hard time growing many herbs here in soil-poor, highly humid Florida. So far, rosemary and basil seem to do best, although my parsley plant began to look like a small Christmas tree! I did have some success with cilantro, also, but nothing that would capture a prize in a gardening contest.

Marigolds (calendula) did well this year. I find that when I start things from seed and sow them directly into the ground, the plants do best.

Cheers, everyone!

The leaves are beginning to color up. Did an afternoon hike around a park (woods) with a babbling brook. Beautiful! Restored my soul.
Wishing you a soul-restoring day.

It's cooler here this week--and by "cooler" I mean maximum temperatures about 80F...that certainly restores my soul!

Love the smell of lavendar as well. Our dog is back home and really upset with the vet where she was boarded. This vets office there weren't any cars in the parking lot. Then this vet tells me oh my brother lives here. Then oh I was here Sunday and Monday. Our dog became sick while she was there. We asked why she didn't call people regarding their animals. She replies oh if I did that I wouldn't be able to attend to the animals. There were several upset clients. We experienced the eye of hurricane Irma and there's quite alot of damage. We were without any cable for 4 days. For alittle while we didn't have any water in the house.

Carolsapple, I am sorry your dog was not given the care you would have expected at a time that was already very stressful for you. To be without water in the house for any period of time is unimaginable for me. Without cable, did you have some way of keeping up to date on what was happening around you? A battery operated radio, like they tell everyone to always have in case of emergency? (I don't have one so I'd be out of luck if we had a major earthquake here.)

Wish I could come help you with cleaning up and repairing the damage, but you are much better off without me getting in your way, I am sure. I will continue to pray for you and the others in your situation. That I can do without getting in the way.

God bless you, carolsapple.

Nice picture.

Thank you all for your prayers. After Irma passed Orlando, my niece survived with only a flooded yard. Praise God for His mercy!

And may God bless all of you also.
