Simiane-la-Rotonde is a small provincial village in southeastern France. This tiny town is surrounded by lavender fields, creating a beautiful scene for this online jigsaw puzzle.
In 2006, I got my long awaited trip to France. We visited the family of our 1996 exchange student, then the Avignon area, then a friend in Paris. It was a memorable trip.
I love the smell of lavender. I still remember making some of those little sachets and then stuffing them with lavender. I think I gave them for Christmas gifts ie Grandmother and aunts. So yeah, would have been a child.
