Toadalove, do you know of a dish consisting of asparagus and peanuts? I enjoyed it one time and it was the best Oriental food I've ever tasted. Otherwise, I don't care much for Chinese. Oh, I do like the almond cookies and the fortune cookies are fun. I think our (puzzle workers) will all have wonderful fortunes without fail!
Starr - I've never heard of an Oriental dish that as these ingredients. Some indian dishes use peanuts on top. Pinterest as some recipes that have those ingredients. A vegetable ramen. Like fortune cookies.
I had a fortune cookie once which said "you will have great fortune from the skies" and I walked outside and a bird got me right on the left shoulder lol. Could have been worse I suppose.
Hmm, well, they do say guano is valuable stuff - but you probably would need more that one splosh :-))

Well they do say when you get droppings from above it is supposed to be lucky, and yes it could have been worse it could have been a brick, so yes looking at that way you was very lucky.
Had Chinese this past Friday. Opened the fortune cookie but all I have to say is that they're not as good as they were in the past. No, I'm not that old!
We have 2 great chinese restaurants here and they are excellent Back in New York I worked in a chinese restaurant that was the best in upstate New York, so I know good from bad. There are a few here that are not at all good so I stay away from them.

We stick with one restaurant as the same applies here in Scarborough. Of course, the best Chinese is in Chinatown. Toronto is good that way and for those working downtown, it's great!
