I was on the computer when the puzzle E Mail came through and I just could not ignore it. That is why for a short time I have a Gold star. Now I am going to go sit by the fire before going to bed. Have a good day to those waking up and a good sleep those of you going to bed.

LOL. While you sit by the fire, it's going to be 90 F today and tomorrow where I live (n.e. Fla).

Yes it does bring a smile to your face when we read each others weather from across the world. I also feel this way when strawberries are mentioned in our off season, LOL

Yes, we're in the 90's today. I did get a good laugh at Slippers comment. :) Sometimes I forget, south of the equator they're into fall and going into winter. :)) What an upside down world. :)) We did not get any rain today, so we have not cooled down. Still very hot. Have a great evening, or day for down under. :)

The part of New Zealand that I live in ( The middle of North Island) Doesn't get snow in winter but lower down and in the Sth Island does, we still get cold weather but I don't mind as it keeps the bugs at bay, well I like to think so.I have lived in N.Z. almost 52 yrs and I still feel celebrating Christmas in the summer odd. Mind you I don't mind living Down Under as they say as long as I don't have to walk upside down.LOL

Hi CatLadyOKC! So glad you have not drowned out and are still here. Been wondering about you. Checking out your weather for OKC, my oh my, you are getting a lot of rain. 90% for Sat. & Sun. with thunderstorms. Mon. it's looking a bit better at 30%. Poor Crickett, he doesn't like getting his feet wet. Must be checking out higher ground to keep dry. He just may have to learn to swim. :) >^-^< May you, hubby and Crickett have a good evening and Memorial Weekend. :)

Hi Slippers, That "walking upside down" part made me laugh. Fifty-two years in N.Z. and you're still having a difficult time with Christmas in summer. Well you must have been born in the northern hemisphere, where Christmas is snowy. :) I have gotten used to No Snow at Christmas and I do not miss is it at all. Have shoveled to many driveways most of my life to miss that mess. I enjoy my Christmas in "flip-flops" if I can get away with it. :)) We were in the low 90's today, no rain in sight, just hot and dry. Bet you're in need of a nice fire in the fireplace. :) The only fire I'm going to be by, is the grill. Have to go and put the burgers on. Have a great day Slippers. :)

I did go back to England twice at Christmas time, once to show my 2 children what an English xmas was like for me as a child and would you believe there was very little snow, what did hit me the most was how early it got dark and how long the nights were not getting light till 8 o clock and being dark before 4 in the afternoon. I was nineteen when I came to N.Z.to a married sister and her family, Came for two years and the rest is history as the saying goes.

Isn't it amazing how some flowers dress up a rugged-looking log house? Really adds beauty to something that is otherwise rather scruffy!

Someone might want to trim some of that plant before there's no view out the window.
