Love these Autumn colours, how warming they look, seem to bring the beauty out of our gorgeous country side.

I was going to say that this reminds me of rural Missouri in a lot of places, but, I don't think I've seen grasses quite that copperish color, but it could be because of the sun. However, usually the ground of dirt roads is more of a light brown color.

Just think of it as slightly photoshopped rural Missouri.

LOL - I was in high school when I spent the most time on rural dirt roads. It was usually dark out and by the time I came home, my vision was somewhat altered.

I'm just north of Westport in what's technically Hyde Park, but I guess it's the western side of the neighborhood.

Read that you've been to Europe 3 times. Wonder where you went? I've been there as well. Twice and loved it!

Carolsapple - The last time I went, I had 3 weeks of vacation and a 21-day Eurailpass, so went to Brussels, Paris, Nice, Milan, Geneva, Zurich, Innsbruck, Munich, Hamburg, Copenhagen, Malma, Cologne, Amsterdam, Luxembourg, and then back to Brussels to fly back. I've also been to Vienna, Verona, and a disastrous day trip to St. Moritz (the tour guide's clutch had to be replaced, so we spent most of the time in a garage that fortunately also had a restaurant).

You?

I've been to Paris, Dijon France, London, Wiltshire - 2 hrs. from London. Bern, Lucerne, Rome, Milan, Venice, Florence, Cozumel Mexico, Grand Cayman Islands, Jamaica, Cairo and Nairobi and Athens Greece Airport. Karnak Temple in Egypt. Went to many of the national parks in Kenya. Mount Kenya and Lake Naivasha to see the flamingos.

I would love to go to Africa sometime to see the wildlife while it's still there. Too many animals are dying off in the wild - elephants, rhinos, recent reports about giraffes and cheetahs losing much of their population.

Ilove country roads. Found some in North Oklahoma where beautiful estates were located on Indian territory.
