This wasn't easy...too much corkboard. Always love the office supply puzzles though, so I'll quit complaining. :)

The cork board would drive me crazy, like to be able to wite on my desk, and all the junk is in the drawer (very messy).

Hi CatLadyOKC, I'm with you. The cork board would drive me crazy too. I do all my greeting cards on my desk and letter writing. Most of my office supplies are in the desk drawer. I do have a very large office desk, so I can put a few items on top, clock, paperclip holder and a small basket. My drawer is pretty organized, but stuffed to the rim. I do have to clean that out. :)

Mine is a whole wall in our upstairs bedroom, has book shelve, drawers, cupboards & window over the desk area with a drawer there, looks out to our back yard and faces north so I don't get direct sun, but do get light. I have my grandmother's antique desk downstairs, it is a writing desk and not real large but pretty. Well it's that day again, turned 71 this year think I may start counting backward!

Fun! I think we all love office supplies even if we don't use them.

You couldn't have said it better. I have so many office supplies on my desk, thay I hardly ever use some of them, but there if I DO need them. LOL

Ya, I have to stay away from office supply stores. I go in for ink and end up with a whole bunch fun goodies that I don't really need.

And I thought I was the odd one out, loving to browse in office supply stores! I pity the person who has to sort through my office, though, because I also am one who seldom throws things away. I still have those old black triangular corners for photos, and lick 'em reinforcements for torn holes in 3-hole punched paper, and two unused bottles of Pentel Correction Fluid (the best white-out ever), ad infinitum! Which reminds me -- I need some pocket folders and #5 lead for my mechanical pencil and........

Wow, you do have some time dated items. That's cool.....! You must hang on to them as they are hard to find if you even still can!

I always feel like I'm one office supply short of being totally organized.

Hockeyfan, do you remember those brads with the rounded heads that went through the punched holes in the 3-hole-punched paper, then the metal spread apart and caused the pages to stay together? I have some of those, too. And a mini stapler that holds standard sized staples, plus about 20 plastic boxes that once held 5-1/4" floppy discs made by Maxell. I keep photos in 'em and CDs and use them for platforms to stage and place figurines, etc. I'm sitting here looking at a packaged bunch of six adding machine paper rolls that are so old they're turning yellow! I suppose there are some real collectibles here -- but not those rolls. LOL.

Hey, you can make party streamers out of those adding machine rolls. :)

Hi LuvsWesterns, wow, I think it's great with all the "antique" office supplies you have. I do remember the metal round headed brads that went through holes in punched paper. I used those in high school 48 years ago. Amazing. All the items you have mentioned are real keepsakes. There are times I wished I hadn't got rid of items as such. You are truly amazing. Enjoy hearing about things of the past. Thanks for sharing. Any other supplies you come across, let me know. :)

If you piled another 30 lbs. or so of debris on this desk top it would look more like mine. Oh well, I never claimed to be Mrs. Good Housekeeping! Those clips work well for potato chips, crackers, dog biscuits, etc.

And I thought my mother invented the use of clothespins to close bags!!!! Now I know the truth. So tell me...does anyone use a safety pin to locate the top of a fitted king or queen sized sheet? My idea and not my mothers!

*Raises hand* Yes, I also use a safety pin on my fitted sheets.
