Looks they have some fairly nice places to settle in.

How simple life used to be, but it was not an easy life for many. I often think of one of my father's forebears who sailed on the Mayflower with his brother, nephew, and a servant. Having sailed from Leiden, Holland, I am sure this sort of settlement was a common sight to these brave souls. The freezing seaside they and their shipmates settled in was a scary blank canvas peopled with inhabitants that were much more savvy hunters and gatherers. I imagine the sights of Holland seemed better then than they did before they sailed the inhospitable ocean in the early 1600s.

Fascinating buildings, wonder how they put it all together. Must have been like a giant jigsaw puzzle.

"Go for it now, the future is promised to no-one." Wayne Dyer

"The secret of getting ahead is getting started." Mark Twain

Take care and God bless. Hugs.

Sounds like your mood has lifted somewhat, Aussie. You are getting the fight back in you. Can you feel your backbone being reinforced?

I think this is beautiful. Using the sod is so very economical. And natural. they are doing a great job of being good stewards of God world.

I've been to Copenhagen, don't remember seeing any windmills, but, I barely scratched the surface of seeing Denmark. Somehow, the train I took from Hamburg to Copenhagen required a ferry boat, but taking the train back to Hamburg didn't.

Never mind a Danish wind mill etc. etc. That looks boring. I sure would rather be in the other puzzle--the Caribbean beach. Ah, that is the life!

I have been to Denmark 3 times - have friends there - and trust me, it's not boring. Sometimes the barns will be an extension of the house (with a suitably long hall because of the smell) so that the people can care for their animals in the winter. It's a beautiful country!
