Radar disc., it keeps them on their track. Looking for rain tonight, tomorrow & the next day. Will be on & off. Tomorrow they say we will have lightening. I have had a terrible time keeping up w/puzzles this year, but the rain has been, haven't had to water as much as usual.

We love the rain here in Tucson, can't get enough of it! We're still in the 90's here, but I'm finally able to turn off the A/C until almost noon. Thanks for letting me know about the radar, I just couldn't figure that one out. lol

I have a cousin that lives in Tucson, have not heard from her you several years. I was there many years ago, I was a freshman in High School and it was at Christmas, we went to a play can't remember the name, but it had to with Christmas.

I've been in Tucson for about 19 years now. I'm thinking seriously of moving to Payson next year. I was raised in the mountains and really miss seeing them and the pine trees everyday. The desert has it's own beauty, but I can hear those mountains calling me home! lol I also have family in Payson that are really wanting me to make that move.

I think the play we went to was the "Little Drummer Boy". My younger brother was a drummer, in fact there are just a few instrument's he can't play. He is 8 years younger than me. They live in Albuquerque he is w/Sandia. I also have another cousin that has a cabin in the mountains. They live in Phoenix.

I have great admiration for musically inclined people. I just never had an ear for it. People tell me I sing off key, I think it's because I have trouble hearing and can't differentiate between levels. A lot of people from Phoenix have cabins up on Mt. Lemmon. Is that where theirs is? I hope they were fortunate enough to escape the horrible fire up there several years ago.

I remember about that fire, I think they were barely miss by it. I also after thinking about it they
described it as a lodge. Used to get a email from them at least once a year, but I haven't heard from either of the cousins for several years. They are both much younger than I am so I figured they were busy w/their families.

Crickett was a Maine Coon cat...he was about 19 years old. The last to our pets, both dogs & cats.
Hubby says we are to old for another pet.

Wow. 19 years to have a pet, that's wonderful. I don't think you've ever too old for a cat, they pretty much take care of you! lol Those Maine Coons are beautiful. I'm glad you were able to have him for so long, but I'm sorry for your loss.

I not sure about them taking care of us, I have saying on my computer " Dogs have owners, cats have staff" " Unknown. We had both over the years, Crickett was just a young kitten when we adopted him. Hubby says that is the last pet for us, but we'll see about that...

After the number of cruise ships that had major mechanical/electrical failures, avoidable sinkings, or dangerous health issues onboard I lost my urge to sail on one. Noone can get off of a cruise ship safely with any real certainty that they will be saved in the deep ocean.

I've never been on a cruise ship. The closest I've been was on a train ferry between Germany and Denmark and a hydrofoil between Copenhagen and Malmö, Sweden. Neither had a buffet lunch.

Yours sounds better than mine, was on one of the Paddle Boats out of St. Louis for a 2 hr. trip down the Miss. River...many years ago, back when they were building the arch.

I vaguely remember going on vacation when I was 5 or 6, we were driving through St. Louis while the Arch was still being constructed.

I was in my 20's and lived in an apt. in downtown St. Louis while it was being constructed. It was an interesting year.

My brother just got back from a cruise to Alaska from Seattle. He and his wife had a wonderful time. My uncle and my parents also took that trip and loved it. I'll pass on cruises. Not keen for Alaska either. I figure with what time I have left we have maybe 3 major trips possible and I'd prefer Iceland over Alaska if I wanted to be cold in the summer, but that's just me. Then, too, we live on the eastern side of the states. I'll have to see if Iceland is closer or further. I've never been to the tropics and would like that experience first. Too bad travel has gotten so dicey.
Wishing you safe journey today.

From all I have seen and heard about Alaska, it is a beautiful place. Ask Aknan, she lives there. :) Hugs Aknan.

Oh, aussie, thank you! It is beautiful up here and not cold in the summer - average temp in Anchorage is 65 - 70, Fairbanks is higher, around 90. And you just wouldn't believe the green!
Hugs to you, too, and you, pixi.

Thank you aknan and hugs back at you. I had heard Alaska wasn't all that cold in summer but never thought it got up to 90. Goodness. That's even warm for NY. My brother went to Juneau, Skagway, took the RR to Bennett Lake and the inland passage back to Victoria. He said it was gorgeous. It turns out Iceland is further than Alaska. There was a website where people debated which of the 2 made for a better trip and there were proponents on both sides. I probably won;t go either place. Loved Jasper/ Banff/Canmore. May go back but go south from Canmore to the parks we didn't see. Glacier looks gorgeous and there's one with an odd name in between I want to see. We went up to a glacier and it was fun but could only take photos and the bus stayed about 1 hour. It didn't compare to the pix of the Mendenhall one In Alaska.

Cruising - not my favourite thing to do.

"Sometimes when you see a person cry it's better not to ask "why? " Sometimes it takes only three words to make them happy again. And those three words are: "I AM HERE"" Unknown

"Thank you for staying even if you had every reason to leave. Thank you for making it easier when life gets hard." unknown

Be a friend, it has many rewards. God bless. Hugs.

I absolutely L O V E cruises. My step-daughter loved Conway Tweety and once he bought OR leased the ship. So we went on that 7 day cruise. stopped about 4/5 places. Had food just about 24/7 and lots of fun things to do. Conway not only had his band but his 4 children and their bands so we had lots of entertainment. Now you had to like country and western music.

Then later my husband & I went on a cruise. We flew to Jamaca (sp) and boarded the ship there. We spent1 day in the Gatun lake in the Panama canal and stopped about 3 or so places on the coast of So America. The last place was montego bay (sp) and I can't complain about a minute of that 7 days.

There were a couple of 3/4 day trips. If you plan on going on a trip there are lots of options. If you don't have little children, choose a ship that is geared toward adults.
