I just loved new crayons. I colored very gently at first as I hated to wear down the point.

The best thing Crayola did was put a sharpener in the back of boxes of 64 crayons or more. I could finally keep them reasonably sharp. This was back in the fifties...

Thanks aknan. I'm not sure my Mom ever bought the big box of 64. I Just hated it when they got stubby and had to peel the paper down.

Spent many childhood days using these to make colorful pictures. I always colored within the lines. I swear!

When I was young I loved to open a brand new box of crayons. Alas, once they got old and stubby, they kind of lost their allure. Color me sad!

Here in Kansas City, MO, there's a Crayola store and restaurant at the shopping center that's owned by Hallmark Cards, which has owned Crayola for some time. They have all sorts of Crayola products, crayons, water colors, markers, etc.
