Collie, how awful for you. Did you have any warning of this event before it happened? How was it treated and do you have any residual effects? Sorry for all of the questions; i'm nosey. :/

Had felt rotten for a few weeks beforehand while trying to walk my dog the usual 2 miles. One morning got up nauseated--staggered to the door to let dog out; couldn't really walk--lurching about---called son who called ambulance--EMT took blood and said I was a diabetic! Trip to ER where a scan was finally done and the stroke was discovered. 8 days in hospital; 3 weeks of rehab followed by 3 weeks of home visits, and I'm finally back trying to solve puzzles--a lot slower than before, but glad to be alive and able to care for myself and my precious collie--thanks for asking!

Morning to everyone. Such a happy, energenic little corgi. We own 2 Corgis one tri-colored, the other all red except her feet. Love them dearly other than their shedding, very heavy twice a year. Have never seen one with this coloring before. They are such funny, happy little dogs. Hope everyone is doing well. We had such a horrible thunderstorm yesterday, went on for several hours, scared the dogs so badly we found one hiding in the bathroom and the other in our bedroom closet. They were shaking so bad, I felt so helpless. First time they have acted like that. You all be safe.

I really like corgis too. I'm sorry your little ones were so scared. Poor babies. I've never seen a black and white one before either. Around here they're almost always that burnt orange/white color. The Queen owns a few of them, and I saw a video of her with them once which showed how obedient they are. I could tell she enjoyed her time with them.

Hi darambo, dogs and cats are good storm predictors. My sister has one of each and when there is a bad storm coming the cat has a special place on top of a suitcase under her bed and the dog has a place where he goes as well. How is your back? Are you still wearing the brace? Hop not - it must be very uncomfortable. Warning: I am posting a joke on here tonight - don't wake up you-know-who when you read it lol. Hugs.

Have you ever heard of the "Thunder Shirt" for animals? They have a website and you can order direct from them. I purchased one for my ShihTzu and it did help a lot. You wrap it around their middle and it closes with Velcro fasteners They come in small, medium and large. Before the storm really starts you put it on the pet.

Tabmol thanks for the info on the Thunder Shirts. Have heard of them but couldn't remember what they were called, also never talked with someone who has used them. Glad to know they help. Will have to buy 2 of them, don't want my babies to go through that again. Be safe and thanks again ;-)

Aussie our cats ( all 4 of them ) came running on to the deck the afternoon of the thunderstorm so fast I thought something was chasing them and it was. They must have heard the storm comming before the dogs. My back pain is very slowly getting better, but not the numbness and tingiling in my feet or leg. Don't have to use the brace anymore. Can't wait to read your joke, but can't promise I won't laugh too loudly, lol!!!! Be safe my friend.

You're welcome. They are also washable I'll be interested in how they work for your two babies.

My Jack Russell Terrier had a consuming fear of thunderstorms and lightning. No amount of reassurance could stop her terror and shaking. I commiserate with you and your dog, also.

We had a fabulous tri-color corgi with the "macara eyes." He wasn't terribly scared by thunderstorms but he would move closer to us during one. I had a beautiful German Shepherd when I was younger who was so scared of thunder she would go get in the tub behind the shower curtain (which I always kept pulled closed).

Isn't he/she having lots of fun :)

If you are successful, you will win false friends and true enemies.
Succeed anyway.

The good you do today will be forgotten tomorrow.
Do good anyway.

Good night and God bless. Hugs.

My mother-in-law had a corgi. He was so adorable. They are very high maintenance dogs and it takes a lot of patience grooming them.
