Lovely photo. I prefer the mountains to the beach, though. Last night in my city we had 30șC at 9 PM; today's expected max is 41. Which in Farenheit is nearly 106ș. Got my shopping done early and I'm staying in with all the shades down! Think I'll listen to rainstorms and Arctic winds online to cool down.

Orinoco have been watching about the heatwave, please try to stay cool and hydrated. Prayers for all affected by it. I much prefer the beach, I guess that's why I live in the mountains!! Be safe and cool.

We were lucky, down here in the valley it's usually hotter than elsewhere but this time the worst of the heat went away up north where they never see temperatures of 46ÂșC. Last night I was out at about 9 and there was actually a cool breeze!

Orinoco how is the weather now? Haven't heard anything lately. Hope you are all trying to stay cool. Our weather is finally warming up, we had been having rain off and on. Well at least the lighting hasn't started any fires. That is always my main concern in the summer, we have about 20 lakes and we live between 2 rivers....the Little Deschutes and the Deschutes, so if we get too hot we go jump in one of these. Very refreshing as it's all melted snow and the snow is very close since we are almost at the top of mountains, only a few peaks above us. Besides being beautiful here I feel like the sky is so big. I guess it's because there are no mountains surrounding us just those few peaks poking up. I always wanted to go to Spain when I lived in Germany, just wasn't able to make it. I don't know that much about it, so am always fascinated when you mention some about your country. Be safe and I wish many cool breezes this summer.

As to be expected at this time of year, we suddenly drew 41ÂșC, which is about 106F. As a direct result I don't feel like doing much in the afternoon. I tutor ESL in the morning so I get up at 7 AM and stumble out for a walk before the day gets started. What we really need is some rain this autumn. It rained all over the country except here. Story of my life. My epitaph should read: "Well, that didn't go as planned."

Hi folks I have had word from Pastor Wayne and he said his wife Marti has been through surgery and they are fairly certain they have taken all of the cancer even in the lymph nodes and she is due home today some time. He said to thank you all for your prayers. Hugs.

Good night and God bless. Hugs.

I hate when people are not well. Hoping that the surgery went well and all will be better soon.

Darambo, once you're diagnosed with cancer these days, the doctors rush to get surgery scheduled without delay. They say "the sooner, the better outcome" - and it probably helps keep anxiety levels from skyrocketing, too. They wasted no time in scheduling surgery after my diagnosis of breast cancer was confirmed, and I'm very glad. Thanks for all your prayers; I'm pretty sure they're why I am not worried about my outcome.

My favorite shell to find on the beach and at one time I had two from a beach in Honduras....only God knows where they are now! May you all have a wonderful day with love, friendship, compassion, and kindness as your constant blessing companions.

That's really a pretty conch shell.

"After you're older, two things are possibly more important than any others--Health and Money." Helen Gurley Brown

When making hard-boiled eggs, throw in one teaspoon of baking soda. The shell will slide right off when they are done cooking. I haven't tried this. Just read about it the other day.
