Good morning all. Hope everyone is well. Wow! the old hippie in me thought I was back in the 60's again! Nice bright colors to wake up to. Not off to a good start in the new year, my son got sick...maybe the flu? Running a fever over 102 the last 2 days. My hubby and I have not gotten sick so far. Hope he does not have strep throat or scarlet fever again. He has had them both numerous times and he seems to get them at the drop of the hat. Guess that's all I have to gab about today so you all take care and be safe.
If you suspect strep please get him right to the doctor. I had a case of strep that covered my whole throat with green sliome that bled if you tried to swab it. I couldn't eat for days. That's at the top of my list to avoid getting again. The other thing is pneumonia (which contributed to my son's death--he thought he had a cold and cough).
Will be praying your son gets well quickly, darambo.

The flu is going around. I got the flu shot and also the 2nd shingles shot. Trying to stay well. My niece and her husband got it while visiting their daughter in San Diego. Also her daughter. Not good while on vacation.

Sounds like your son needs to see a doctor. The strains of flu that go around now can be very serious. Prayers for his recovery.

I didn't realize scarlet fever was still out there. So sorry your son is susceptible to both diseases. I'm praying he gets better soon and stays healthy.

Hey Gang just a quick note. Thanks for the concern, Matt finally doing better, must have been flu but funny Ed and I are not sick...yet? Akan scarlet fever is not as common anymore so you just don't hear of it. It is a form of strep. Funny thing about scarlet fever is it will make the palms of your hands and the bottom of your feet peel. Now I will leave you on that rather creepy bit of information. Take care and be safe.

Hi darambo, a little better just trying to cope with the excessive heat and humidity. Have to see the doctor tomorrow for my last test for cancer. Will let you know the results. Hugs.
So sorry to hear your boy is sick. I believe in the old type of med's. ginger tea. and a hot bath with yellow mustard powder. sweat it out always worked for me with the flue.
