Mrs. PW and I went to Columbus, Ohio on Wednesday to see an old friend who was in a coma in the hospital. She passed away on Thursday. I have been friends of the family for 39 years, but my wife has known the lady most of her life since she went to school with M's sister and often spent time in M's home.

So sad for you PW and M. I called a friend of mine yesterday who is now in a nursing home and all she want to do is go home but couldn't remember where that was. So very sad and too far away for me to go and visit. She is Canadian and had a brother here and her mother lived with her. Sadly both of them have gone, so my friend is quite without family now. It has made me feel so sad but they are all beautiful Christians so we will all meet again one day. Hugs to you and M.

Are those mugs Ceramic or Melamine. One person told me about an ad in the 70's - a man was doing an ad for fridges - he couldn't say Avocado - He called it Ava ca doo....lol Was quite upset lately!

A friend of mine sprouted the pit and it grew to be a fairly good-sized potted tree. She named it Ava Cahdo...

Lol Aknan. I don't have an "Ava Cahdo" tree ut have a lemon which is loaded at the moment and a mandarin I am coaxing along. Not sure how long it will be before it fruits, but looking forward to it. Hugs.

Aknan, I'm jealous! The avocados we get here are hybrids and the pits are sterile, they won't sprout. On the plus side, the pits are often quite skinny so you get more avocado for your money.

When I went to the lookout on the island to see if I could spot Migaloo the white whale, I took everything but the coffee lol. Today I finally made it with everything and enjoyed about an hour sitting in the car with the sun streaming in and warming me, did some reading and loved seeing the ocean (but no whales). So got nicely warmed up.
