The pumpkin reminds me of a time when I was asked to tell a group something about my past. So I told them that when I moved to a new group of churches [8 churches], I asked one of the farmers to bring a load of "fertilizer" from his barn and spread it out where I wanted to plant a garden. Afterward, he plowed the fertilizer under and I planted the vegetables. They grew so well. The corn was 10 feet tall. But the pumpkins grew TOO fast. They dragged along the ground so much that by the time they were ripe, there was nothing left of the pumpkins.

Why do pumpkins get dragged? Don't they just sit in one spot?

If they were d=firmly attached to the vine, wouldn't they go where the vine goes?

Too monochromatic, except with gradations.

In response to the craze of pumpkin-flavored-everything, someone suggested we have pumpkin toothpaste! And more--- you can add your own ridiculous combinations!

I know a lot of people are still trying to rebuild. I am so glad that you are safe. Things can be replaced but you can't.

Good morning everyone. That was easier than I thought it would be. Looks like a nice round pumpkin. Will have to start looking for our pumpkin. Even though we don't have any young children my son still insists we have one every year. We usually buy 2 or 3 so we can decorate them differently, also usually get a couple of the mini ones and also decorate them, use an exacto knife. It's 2:30 am and I have to go to the hospital to have that pain device put in my back later this morning. Am nervous and a little worried, don't like to be knocked out for surgery. Hope this works, it's the last thing they have to try. Well I saw my neurologist and she is putting in the paperwork so I can get my drivers license back. No seizures for just over a year, so she considers my epilepsy stable. Took a really long time to find the right combination of medication. YES!!!! I have my independence back, now I just have to pass the written and driving tests again lol!!! Winter must have arrived....no snow yet just temps down to 11 degrees yesterday morning. You all stay safe and warm. Prayers for our countrymen in Florida and every state that was hit by the hurricane. How are all our puzzlers from those areas? Any info from them? As I said be safe.

Darambo, prayers for your recovery from surgery. Please let me know how it all works. I've thought about doing that myself. I don't know if that would work for pain caused by Spinal Cord Damage or not. It would be so nice to drive again! Oh, just think about the freedom! Of course I'd have to learn to walk more than 10 feet again, or I wouldn't be able to get out of the car when I got where I was going. I can dream of being able to clean my house and be able to cook again the way I like it...I'm a perfectionist, and no one else can do it right! Ahhh… it's nice to dream. Okay, back to the real world.
Had snow over the weekend, now it's in the high 60's all week. Life in Colorado is good!
Prayers for all those devastated by Hurricane Michael. There's a lady on one of my support group pages who has lost EVERYTHING, and she's trying to find a place to live for herself, her son and his girlfriend and their baby, plus the girlfriend's parents. I have no idea what to tell her. All I can do is pray for her...God can handle this!

God's comfort and peace to all, and enjoy this pumpkin!

That orange pumpkin would make a good jack-o-lantern, pumpkin pie, pumpkin seeds to eat, and pumpkin seeds to grow more pumpkins for the following year.
