I love to collect china cups and saucer sets. I think they are just beautiful. found a place on etsy that sells pretty things at a fair price.

Did you have a big party or is it just that the dishwasher isn't full enough to run yet?

Haha pixipixil; was just tired after work - and I don't have a dishwasher...Reckoned I used to have - two legged kind x4. Not that the boys enjoyed doing them either!! We have a 70th birthday celebration this weekend - and they opted for plastic throwaways!! Oh well,,, xx

Hello - sorry for not coming on here earlier, No, wasn't mine but a good friend! Then the whole last couple of weeks have been filled with some sadness and worry...Tony's mum had a heart attack and - praise the Lord - she is mending well. My brother in law passed away and a friends son is in intensive care...whew - all or nothing eh?! ") Bless you

My condolences to your sister and you. Yes, they say things come in threes. You have had a tough two weeks. Yesterday was my dead son's birthday. Surprisingly I was not destroyed by it. I realized that not being able to have my own child saved me from the heartache of remembering his very first birth-day.

Too true. A student I taught used to tell me her worries and she said her mom would always comfort her saying "This too shall pass." Of course it also applies to the good stuff we wish would last. (Sigh! )

Such pretty dishes. I'm glad they gave us a picture of clean dishes. I could take my own picture of dirty ones in my kitchen.

God bless you all and may your plates be filled with His abundance.

Got a laugh out of your dirty dish comment. Reminded me of the time my mom called and said she was coming over. I was in my first apartment not far from their house. Had no time to wash the dirty dishes so I crammed them all in my oven.

When I was in elementary school, it was my turn to do the dishes, but he boys were waiting on me to play baseball (I had the only baseball) so I put all the pots and pans in the oven. Later, my mom found them and she had me wash and dry every pot, pan. dish and silverware in the kitchen. I learned my lesson. LOL.

Hey, try...I've heard of people doing that but never resorted to the oven myself. As I child learning to cook, I turned the oven on several times, not remembering to check it first. My mother routinely stored her skillets and such in the oven As I result, I never put anything in the oven unless it's cooking!

Once I turned on my automatic oven cleaner and forgot that one of my iron frying pans was in there. Boy that frying pan was as bright as the day we bought it - not a bit of the "seasoning" left!
