My Christmas Tree Story: I always loved a REAL authentic tree. First year I lived here in Ariz. a friend with a truck took me to a lot and I bought a beautiful very tall one. It looked great, terrific. It was the most stickery pine I've ever seen--on the order of cactus I thought. After the holiday, the friend and his truck disappeared. The trash guys would not take trees. The city set up a place to take the trees to a park to be ground up for mulch. I had no way to transport the tree--too big and stickery for my old-age strength and small car. It occurred to me to tie it to my back bumper and drag it to the designated park, but figured the cops might not like that. The danged thing blew around my backyard until AUGUST when I found a guy to pay to haul it away. That was the year that I bought a great big fake one. No fabulous scent, but it is pre-lit and looks like the real thing (sort of). After Christmas I store it for another year in my garage with an old waterbed sheet wrapped around it. A few years have gone by now with my fake tree and I am still very sad about it.
You gotta do what you gotta do, eh?

I wonder if I could get away with NOT UNdecorating the fake one? I still have another old water-bed sheet to help wrap it up. Why not? LOL! (FYI it must be 15-20 years since the water bed. I loved it. It was the best sleep in my life and really helped my bad back. Sure wish I still had it! ) (Whew. This is in the on-going saga of a nutty old lady and her past adventures. Thanks for your patient reading.) Hugs!
