Trynfindit, what's different about English bacon?
trynfindit
May 20, 2015
American bacon is thin and often heavily streaked with fat.
English/Scottish/Welsh bacon is more like Canadian bacon - almost all meat with little fat - and it's thicker than American bacon.
Isn't that about right crlyblonde?

That's right trynfindit but have to make sure you get good quality the cheaper kind often had added water so your bacon boils and spoils the flavour

Those 2 colors on the chives and flowers look so pretty together. I never have any luck with chives here, maybe our summers too hot or our sand soil. Might try it again in one of my raised beds.
Supposed to be in the 80s thru Monday. Turned on air conditioners for 1st time yesterday, couldn't take the heat and humidity in the house anymore.

Seaview, did you ever get your appointment at the res dental clinic? How are you doing? It is you I'm remembering has severe dental issues isn't it? If not, ignore this post and leave it for the right person to see.

Nlbuchanan yes I am the one. I found another dentist in town that would take my medical but went there and got nowhere because it ended up he wont pull it anyway and said I can go to an oral surgeon in a town over 100 miles from me to have it done and said its the only one that will take my medical there and also said there is a very long waiting list. Well that's just what I have been running into here. He is the only one that said anything about an oral surgeon also and the communication was horrible there. I felt like I was talking to people with a foreign language. The whole thing was a joke. So now my other option is to try the res since this other dentist didn't work out or its getting closer that I can get an appointment with my doctor but I am also hearing that its only fast to get into a dentist at the res if your tribal but if not you can have a long wait too and I am not tribal. My boyfriend is so he got in fast.
Theres no reason to go to an oral surgeon like the new one said. Nobody else even recommended that. This guy was saying to have my gums cut and take out bone which is nuts.
This is not like when I had my wisdom teeth pulled when my teeth were almost all under the gum with very little tooth out of the gums.
I did have that other course of antibiotic awhile back but I am also doing some natural antibiotic and boosting things with other stuff also.
This area is getting horrible for anything dental and a lot of medical doctors same way. I have been hearing a lot of complaints from people about the dental and how long they make you wait for anything around here and people are really fed up in this area. It never used to be that way and I sure wish my old dentist would of never retired.

Chives,
You are so lovely in your bloom
Like cheerleaders' pom-poms
Decked to dispel my gloom.

Keep on growing,
Blossoming,
And giving me flavor
For my soup.

Chives,
You really are wonderful.
Thank you for
Your blossoms' group!

Dianthis have such a lovely smell but chives are onions so draw your own conclusion. They do look pretty blooming together. I have numerous chive clumps. They multiply like mad. Dianthus don't like my yard.
It's finally raining--well really just spritzing, but I'm hopeful we will get some significant rain.
If these two disparate flowers can get along, why can't we?
Is it Jiggler who always says to pray for peace?
Wishing you all ways to grow together in harmony.

Vmarie, chives are supposed to grow in Florida and, supposedly, in full sun. I don't think the folks that make those growth charts up have ever been in Florida in the summer. I haven't tried chives but I have grown lemon grass and it does pretty well in high shade. Might try high shade for chives. (Azaleas like high shade, too.)
