My father suffered all his life from chronic bronchial asthma. We wanted a dog and someone told him that long-haired chihuahuas wouldn't bother asthma sufferers. Dad decided he'd give it a try and, if it didn't work out, we'd find another home for it. The dog didn't bother his asthma one bit and we had the dog, named Joe, for many years till he (the dog) passed away.

That's good to know about the breed.

Ask someone to spell Chihuahua and most of the time they can't!

Good morning all. Isn't this just the cutest little thing! Very good quotes this morning Aussie and very, very true. My poor hubby was stung on his eyebrow by a yellow jacket the day before yesterday and the whole side of his face is swollen. Just has a very small slit to see through. Poor guy, I feel so bad for him. Have tried to make him as comfortable as possible. He looks so miserable. How is everyone? Good I hope. You all stay safe.

I know too many people who are always looking outside themselves for happiness and cannot understand why they are not happy....really. It starts in our minds and shows in our actions. Really a simple principle when you think about it.

Darambo, has your husband tried benadryl, or a store brand of it? I'm allergic to bees and that's what my allergist told me to use years ago. It may make him sleepy, but should help.

They also make a benedryl gel that's very effective topically. My Dearly Beloved was attacked by yellow jackets while string trimming around a stump. Stung 14 times, mostly arms. I had him take 2 benedryl tablets and rub the stings with the gel. He was virtually healed in 2 days.

Rah and Aknan yes we have tried both products. Ed is allergic to bee stings ( all three of us are ) so it took quite a bit of benadryl to get it under control. His swelling is finally starting to go down. Was beginning to wonder if it was getting infected. Had never heard of a bee sting getting infected, until it happened to my son when he was 4. We usually have benadryl on hand because of this very reason. Stung 14 times, Oh my gosh! Think we would have to go to the hospital for an epi shot. Should keep one here I suppose. You both be safe.

What a cutie! The thing with Chihuahuas is, no-one ever told them they're only little - they think they are Rottweilers!

This is not the typical coloring for a chahuahua! Very nice and he looks like he is ready to take on the world! Have a wonderful day and blessings to all the faithful "puzzlers"!

That's a tricolour. When I had my boarding kennels we had quite a few come to stay. And some black-and-tans, too.
