I wonder how many pine needles there are in the world.

Oh to walk in this picture with the dog who would cchase everything that moved. Goodness knows what he would if he ever caught it. It would be so good and relaxing, I'm pleased that I can still live in my dreams and in them to be able to do things I did when young.

Lots of hugs to those who need them, and Gods Blessings on everyone for we all need them without doubt.

I can very clearly see the picture you paint, except my dog would not only chase everything that moves, but catch and kill it. My walk in the trees would have to include a leash! Sorry Mandy, not all squirrels need to die. But you did good with the rat in the house.

Dream on Barbaranne. I would need to have no dog or pet along to relax. I like being alone with nature and letting God provide the wildlife.

Wow what a family toadalove, my mother had her hands full with 5( 4girls 1boy) I think that in some ways I was a loner and this life was never on anyones cards, I was to work with children or/and horses. Take care of yourself and may the God of peace and love be with you.

My husband's family was big like that. One entered the priesthood. Two became monks. All left for secular life. Four brothers of his are deceased and three sisters--2 at birth. 3 brothers and 3 sisters remain plus my husband.

So how old are you dbnc? I'll be 69 in March...if I'm still here. Never realized being old is not being able to count on another year--and the time keeps shortening. There have been several sudden deaths in our families (mine and my husband's.)
It should change one's life and yet it is so hard to change.

My condolences to you and your sister. Was your brother in law there during the attack on Pearl Harbor?
How wonderful to have a love that lasts 67 years.
May we also be so lucky. Is your husband alive? Do your kids live close by?

Thanks for the blessings and the hugs, Barbaranne. My dog would have loved that hillside, although she wouldn't have gotten very far away from me. She kept catching things and bringing them to me so I could "fix" them!

He teaches religion dbnc. His specialty is morality and he also teaches a course on church history.

Morality is a topic opened up far too little now and more of us need to brush up on church history. It's such a rich and colorful topic. A tip of my hat to your husband, pixi.
