Ah...love, peace & calm light blue waters--I'm just looking for some coconuts. Beautiful puzzle. Maybe, just maybe, I could trade sell my house, cars & other valuables(? ) & just live on a houseboat.

Except when there is a hurricane or tsunami. Then you would appreciate some solid land to be on.

Mr. Wayne, good to hear from you--but a hurricane? Or Tsunami? Now "who could have that much bad luck"????

Dear Parson--Of course we all know the answer to my "who could have that much bad luck". But we forgot to mention earthquakes. Yesterday, there was a whopper quake in between Russia & Alaska. You must be able to see the future. What else is your crystal ball foretelling? All MY best...

I didn't realize that there had been an earthquake between Russia and Alaska. My son lives in Kotzebue, Alaska, 30 miles from Russia and right along the seacoast. I need to check on him. Thanks, BG,

Parson, yes please do. The map on TV showed the epicenter of quake closer to the Russian side but we all know how narrow Bering Strait is. I've read in old days how the 2 countries used to be connected & how the Russians & people from Alaska could trade w/each other and that they were great friends. Even the name Kotzebue sounds Russian to me. Hope our 2 countries can help together to help these people. I think the main trading or settling town was called Sitka. I'm sure your son must know this history. Good luck.

You both can have some of our earthquakes if you need them...have been getting small ones about every day...tired of having to straighten the pictures in the house. Last one even moved my computer some...my monitor knows when I don't notice..it will shimmy at me.

The Bering Strait isn't very straight either. This part pf Alaska was part of Russia until 1867. My son is MUCH farther North of Sitka - above the Arctic Circle and travels from village to village to make sure the children are enrolled in school via the internet and that it is working for them as well as connecting each village with internet access ro the nearest clinics and hospitals. He loves it up there. What area of the globe do you live Bay Granny that you are having so many small earthquakes? As Elvis sang, you must be "All Shook Up".

The earthquake between Alaska and Russia was well below my son who lives in Kotzebue.

Hello Parson--it is so wonderful to hear about your son devoting his time & life to help the little ones. I'm guessing the map in the newspaper was a tad incomplete. Does he need $$ to help his work? Perhaps we could set up some fund-raising site with the help of our local high school. We could adopt that area around the Artic Circle & they could do the same with us. Everybody needs a senior project & if I could connect w/just 2 students--this could be great! Please let me know what your son thinks & I could mentor this project with some help from you & your son. I live in Rhode Island in a small town & we all pretty much stick together--a perfect match! Cat Lady lives in OK & she is the one who lives w/small quakes.

I must have a small quake inside me the way I shake, although the Doctor said it was Parkinson's Disease.

SO Parson Wayne--did you speak to your son about our project? These kids in this wealthy "bedroom" community thrive on this kind of "good news" & could probably help your son so much!

I will ask him about your suggestion of a project. Thank you.

Parson--I will always be grateful to you & the laughter you provide with your fun puns. Let us give your family back. We have a local newspaper that loves to write about student projects & our TV station has 2 graduates from this award winning school.

During the month of August, he is a commercial fisherman for Salmon and is out on his boat where he lives during the month. I "shore" will ask him again when he is on land again. He could write a book and start it with: "Once a spawn a time..."

I am so blessed to have such wonderful friends all over the world where we care about one another and pray for one another and laugh together in our own languages.

Parson--I agree with you so much! I searched & searched to find a pun in your post. Apparently this is real. I definitely love that starting line!

BG, I forgot that my son is out on his boat as a commercial fisherman for salmon during the month of August. He will be back on land the first of September.

BG, My son told me that the state of Alaska provides laptop computers for all the students who take classes online - at least those above the Arctic Circle where he works.

That is too sad. To want to be there away from family. Unfortunately, I know what you mean. I hope it is a temporary situation for you. My situation has changed and I no longer wish to be away from family. I pray it ddoes for you, as well.
