About 40 years ago, I had a bowling ball almost the same shade as that purple! lol

Flash back to my youth. Used to love these...even tho the flavor used to last about 2 minutes.

Too true. At least you could blow bubbles long after the taste was gone. My mother didn't let me chew bubble gum. I was allowed regular gum, tho and chewed all the time. Once I chewed a piece of gum so long it literally fell apart.

I had that happen once too and you're the first person I've ever seen who could relate to that experience. It was the oddest thing, one second I was chewing as usual and the next it just stopped being gum.

I stopped chewing gum many decades ago. I would bite off little pieces because it was suggary and eat them. In only a short while - no gum!

Once I got TMJ (where your jaw will lock in position and is always paining you), I stopped chewing even the occasionally that I allowed myself.

I had that. Turned out one of my teeth had cracked in half but for some reason the dentist's xray didn't pick it up. Funny it gave me terrible pain all through Lent but went away at Easter.
I don't chew gum because it pulls off my caps. My current dentist doesn't stick them on very well. My husband's just came off a few weeks ago. When mine came off he charged $80 to put it back but when his did they did it for free.?????

Reminds me of this song:
Does your chewing gum lose its flavor
on the bedpost overnight?
If your mother says don't chew it,
Do you swallow it in spite?
Can you catch it on your tonsils,
Can you heave it left & right?
Does your chewing gum lose its flavor
on the bedpost overnight?

What's the difference in age, pixi? Sometimes that is the only change. Sending you a hug.

Thanks for the hug, Taffi. Back at you with one. My husband and I are less than 2 years difference in age. My bridge was put in some years ago and fell off in less than a year. My husband's was put on recently and fell off after he had his teeth cleaned. Same for me but not on the same day. That's why I don't let them floss me.

Oh I see the watermelon gum balls! I don't chew gum anymore, but when I did, I would have a huge gum wad in my mouth!

Yup...me too zoozq. My Mom used to call me Susie-Q sometimes. Mostly it was Susie Jane and if she called me Lady Jane, I was in trouble for sure. Enjoyed this puzzle a lot.

I am always Sue. If I heard Susan, then I was in trouble. No middle name here. I still get asked what my middle initial is when filling out forms ie library People, if I didn't put it down, then I don't have one. Capisce! That always went through my head lol

Enjoyable puzzle to work. Reminds us all of childhood. They only cost a penny in the gumball machines when I was little. I prefer the small ones, such as these. They are usually more flavorful than the large ones in the machines now. How can a kid handle such a large gumball?

Gumballs - good for your teeth, or should I say your dentist lol.

Congratulations on your new president - which surprised a lot of people. I, for one, will be praying for your country.

God bless and take care. Hugs.

Thank you aussie. We (USA) would need all the prayers we could get no matter who won the presidential race.

Not much of a choice was there!! But as in our elections, God has allowed those people to run our country for a reason. It will be interesting to see how Trump and Turnbull (our leader) will rub off on each other.

We all do with those who run our countries. Just remember God is in control and has allowed these leaders to become leaders. Hugs dbnc.

You are absolutely right. All countries need prayer. The whole world needs to remember that God is in control no matter what is going on, He allows good things and bad things but only to help us and He gives us strength to get through everything but we have to have faith to use that strength. He even strengthens our faith through our trials and tribulations and sufferings. He who endures to the end, will be saved.
