Recall using crayons in elementary school. I watched a renderist work on a mural while at work. Our boss asked him to draw in some trees and in seconds he did. He was paid quite well for the short time he worked on it.

I like to color when my grandkids come to visit. We keep them, date them, and are going to share when youngest turns twenty.

Dbnc2, why didn't/don't you like to color? I don't think I've ever heard anyone say that.

Aw. What were your favorite things to do when you were a young-un. (I love that expression; I had an aunt who said it a lot.)

PLAY PAPER DOLLS
and they weren't store bought
we cut them out of a catalog
we built play houses out in the yard
you don't young-uns playing outside much these days
it's so sad to ride houses at Christmas and not see young-uns outside playing
this tells you i'm old as dirt

I was more of a tomboy; loved tree houses, forts, riding my bike all over the neighborhood. Yes, children used to play outside ALL OF THE TIME. But now they have computers, telephones and all that other stuff and nonsense. You're probably not much older dirt than I am.

My children did not like the heat or cold. So there would be about two weeks a year I could get them outside.
As a child I did not have air conditioning The schools weren't air conditioned either. I had hair past my waist and wore jeans and the heat did not bother me in high school. Now if the AC goes out they close the schools.

Fun in 83 circles!

I have several boxes of crayons and still like to color on occasion (I'm 55). As a child the first thing I'd do when I got a new box was tip it upside down and rub the lid against the crayon tips to leave color marks. That way I could always put them away in the "correct" order.

Well, I have a package of 60 coloured pencils, already sharpened, so there! I'm older than you are and can colour inside the lines. I bet you can't :P Mommy! She took one of my pencils! Give it back! Mommy *insert whine*

Well, Taffi, I truly love it when I find someone older than I am, you poor baby!
You should see some of my masterpieces. Just too too exquisite! I do need a new color book, however. I rather imagine you use your pencils to "paint by the numbers"?

I gave a birthday card to a friend of mine once that said: "There's one thing I REALLY love about you...you'll always be older than me." LOL. She loved it and we're still friends but, then, real friends can rib each other gently.

Starr, paint by numbers means that you use paint! Silly!

And in real life, thanks for the laugh. I'm really 52 lol But then, I've been told that I do not act my age! Have a great week!

I am going to be 55 soon but Ilike to say I am going to be 10(5+5). Everyone at work tells agrees that I sometimes act like a nine year old(5+4).They mean it in good way, I think:)

I have been told many times that I seem younger then I am. I am 74. Most people think I am in my 50s. But then I have a great sense of humor and I believe that helps.
