My mom used to use bows. She even had ribbon printed that said Merry Christmas! She even had big paper colored napkins - They saying on them from a printer was Whadda expect linen? They were sold in my grandmothers interior decorating and antique shop The front of the store used to sell smaller items. These napkins just sold so quickly - pretty colors as well pink, yellow, orange

My Mom uses bows. I've got to admit that I got out of it. That was after a time of making my own gift decorations. I got quite artistic lol

So pretty - have to wrap a few presents tonight.

"Everyone wants to feel loved, but when all you feel is alone it's tough to accomplish anything else."
– Glenn Beck

"If you desire to find the true spirit of Christmas and partake of the sweetness of it, let me make this suggestion to you. During the hurry of the festive occasion of this Christmas season, find time to turn your heart to God. Perhaps in the quiet hours, and in a quiet place, and on your knees—alone or with loved ones—give thanks for the good things that have come to you, and ask that His Spirit might dwell in you as you earnestly strive to serve Him and keep His commandments. He will take you by the hand and His promises will be kept."
– Howard W. Hunter

Good night and God bless. Hugs.

I love your quotes! Beck and Hunter are very perceptive. I especially liked Howard Hunter's quote. We should all give thanks for our many blessings. Merry Christmas

You are so right workined - last night on the news showed all the homeless people and that is so sad. And we also have been getting the news of that terrible train derailment that happened in Washington State. Awful news and especially at this time of the year. We do have so much to be thankful for - Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from Australia. Hugs.

Tough puzzle- and its also been difficult for me to peel the backings off the sticky part of these bows as I wrap gifts for my family - very pretty though.

I ignore the backings and just use tape - makes life much easier!

Aknan & rahrah- I confess that I did this use tape for the first few bows until I realized I could peel the backing from the bows, and that adhesive holds better when our cats decide the bows are toys....never a dull moment...:)

Pretty bows. I use pretty Christmas bags now that they have so many pretty one's out. Put some tissue in, set the gift in and your off. In the past fifty years I have always wrapped but that's a lot of work. I say buy bags.
God bless you all and be safe.

My sister in law and I, over the years, developed a little antic of how much tape we would put on each other's gifts. It started innocently enough - often trying to put an item in a box that was a smidgen too small for the gift - and then having to tape it a lot to get the box to close. It became something of a quiet joke over the years. Without saying anything, we would open our presents and have to go through all kinds of tape to get to the gift which always brought lovely giggles from both of us.
