No luck with plants either, but the FAKE Bonsai and Ivy look great. LOL

Fakes are a God-send aren't they? LOL

Yes indeed and I dusted off my small bonsai this morning. The fake roses are on my kitchen table in a beautiful blue translucent vase. Come on over for a look and stay for coffee or tea. Soon I will be drinking iced tea or lime rickeys! Anyone care to join me from the puzzle family?

I've always told my friends that the worst thing you can do to a plant is give it to me for a gift! ;-) I have two philodendrons (sp? ) that do OK, but often look wilted before I remember to water them. Poor babies. Everything else is from the silk flower shop.

I would love to have a bonsai, but I, too, would not be able to keep it alive. Every plant in my home is silk.

At least you have no watering to do and I must admit the artificial ones they do, people can not tell I also have plenty of these and change them about quite often, and people say to me your flower arrange are a joy to see, they must cost you a fortune, I will admit I do not make them any wiser and how nice it is that you do not have to wash those vases that get all that mucky gung on.

So many people use the artificial ones anymore. I even blend a few artificial ones outside in my flower garden. Anything to make it easier, and your right, no watering.

Can't wait to get into my flower beds. Go away winter..........! I will have lots of the silk ones in my garden. :)

Rosina, Thanks. I'll be right over. The Lime Rickies sound fabulous. Maybe you can give me some pointers on growing stuff. I am a mediocre gardener at best. Some of my attempts work out fairly well and last for awhile; others just croak immediately. I sincerely believe that any bonsai I might try would belong to the "immediate croak"
category.

Well I am drinking hot tea these days! The only plants I have currently in my place are all FAKE that means "zero" maintenance except for dusting...I had some luck with aloe plants once and parsley and mint herbs. My sister is the one with the green thumb and I don't do well in the real gardening area.

Rozina, you mentioned mint. Yikes! My mom gave me some mint she had planted in an old tin pan. I planted it in my front yard in a brick planter. It took over. I mean TOOK OVER! I would guess the woman who bought that house years ago is still trying to dig it out. It has underground runners that broke the 4 min. mile and ran rampant like some kind of science fiction movie monster! I had some fair luck with geraniums, but it was in Calif., where those flowers are almost native and practically grow wild.

Mint seems to thrive well, even without tending. My gramma had some in her backyard from which she made tea when I had tummy problems (very soothing). When my planted apple seeds we got a tree eventually but never tried to eat the small fruit it bore. Well have a lovely weekend.
