Make sure you pick your gooseberries when they are ripe as they can be verry sour. Happy baking all.

Now this is one pie I do like you have to be sure you do put on an apron when dealing with the blue berries as theyn can get quite messy some times.Love cooking at the moment iam bread making. Thank you for this.

Not my favorite fruit pie. Don't care for berry pies of any kind. More of a cream pie lover. Banana, lemon, chocolate, etc.

I, too, love blueberries in any form but especially pie. So very tasty. Weather should be warming up some today, here in northern Illinois.

This has nothing to do with blueberries. Am watching a British cooking show on PBS "Great British Baking Show." They're making gingerbread scenes. Way beyond houses, lol

How warm will that be cindyj28? Here in south east Ontario it has warmed up a bit to 9F or -10C.
Still cold to me!!

Growing up in Mass., I picked lots of blueberries....love them in any form. As kids, we ate them by the handful.

Blueberries are a super food. We have three blueberry bushes in our yard that are loaded each year with lovely berries. Trouble is, our Pembroke Welsh Corgi has found out how good they taste and stands on his hind legs to eat them.

That is too funny, trynfindit! see? Even animals know a good thing when they see it! I won 20# of blueberries in a school auction 3 years ago. Ate myself silly, then froze the rest; s-t-r-e-t-c-h-e-d them out over the next year, but it was hard! They're one of my favorite summer fruits!

A 'silly' to add; While at the store yesterday, I grabbed a couple yogurts off the shelf that were marked down (close to expiration date). Just went to open one and they're blueberry!! (I hadn't even looked at the flavor, just saw 'sale' and grabbed)
