They do? I've never thought of birds as eating meat, but I suppose it makes sense.

6 Feb: Yes - well, some birds are nectar- or seed- eaters only, but most birds eat worms and grubs and insects. And, come to think of it, bigger birds eat mice and so on, and raptors eat fresh meat or carrion (eeww, carrion! No accounting for taste!! )
