"Finders keepers", he was throwing it away so I caught it and now I will keep it. What!!!!! give it back noooooooo way, let me keep it pleaseeeee!
He is a lovely so alert and full of energy a dog that would love the beach.
Our labradoddle love mud and each Time he arrrives back from a walk he is mud up to the elbows but he is lovely, he as taught our rescue dog to play and it has changed her, no longer afaid of her own shadow, it is a joy to watch them chasing around.

News of my leg, the antibiotics apart from making me feel awful have done a great job, still painful and stings but a 100 time better than it was. Hospital on Friday to see the nurses there and again on Monday to see the surgeon!

God bless you in all that you do, all who you will meet today be a blessing to them.

Great news, Barbaranne! Sounds like this go round is a winner.
Just back from walk in walk out surgery on thumb. Hope it doesn't hurt too much when the shot wears off. Also hope thumb will bend again.

So happy that they found something to help. We all will keep praying. and God will do the healing. this pic so reminds me of my HayBay. She was my angel dog. and she so loved the water and her tennis balls. She would try for 3 in the mouth but rarely achieved it. miss her so much. God bless for listening to me.

Barbaranne and Pixi, good news all around. Praise God. My husband had to go back to the dentist yesterday and was very nervous about it, however we managed to get him in to see my dentist who is absolutely gifted in that area and had a much better experience and the tooth has now gone. I am sure he will heal quickly. I do hope and pray that those of you who have a fear of dentists will find someone like mine. Take care. Hugs.

Great news for your hubby, Aussie. It's wonderful when a doctor can inspire confidence as well as do the "nitty-gritty".
Thanks trynfindit for your prayers. Thumb hurt a lot when I got home but already much better. It bends a little but I think once the swelling goes down it'll be okay.

Pixi what did you do to your thumb, poor you the hands not a lot of use without the thumb, my prayers are for a quick and complete healing. God bless you.

Thanks so much Barbaranne. I gave myself trigger thumb. That's a bit like a hernia in that the muscle has bunched up and won't go through the sleeve inside the finger without catching and causing pain. They correct it by cutting the sleeve open I think. So far it is still bruised and swollen so I can't tell how well the operation went. I did it by grabbing a jar l;id too tightly then after bruising it I went on to wedge clay which completed the destruction. I sometimes get it on my right hand when I use a saber saw too much.

Forgot to say the right hand healed on its own but the left never got better.

Pixpixil, Sounds like you like to do a variety of things, wedging clay? using the saber saw. WOW I am impressed. I had thumb surgery a few years back, I had a cist in the joint. It is fine now, but was challenging for a time, Hope you and Barbaranne heal quickly and well. God bless,

Thank you Cindyj. God bless you, too. That cyst in the joint sounds painful. Glad they figured out the problem and cleared it up.

Pixie - wedging clay? Are you a potter, as I am?

I am a beginner. I took a class for credit and learned the basics but the mysteries of the wheel evade my touch so I bought a wheel, a slab maker (my forte)
and a kiln. I work the clay in the winter and do plein air painting in the summer.

Can you describe what is feels like to shape clay on the wheel. I push and squeeze and draw out but it seems to refuse to budge and then it goes wacky.

Pixi, I must confess Ithat throwing clay on a wheel never interested me. I build my pieces by coil or slab. My pieces run the gamut from figures (like elves, baby elephants, frogs, etc.), bowls/plates/platters/pitchers (both free form and formed), wall pockets, religious things (crosses, doves), Christmas ornaments, Halloween stuff, and votives. I fell in love with working with clay when I was in high school and had an art teacher who was truly wonderful.

I used to like making frogs and ballerinas out of plasticene clay when in kindergarten. I did a ceramic head of Nefertiti in high school--a tiny one. Didn't take my class until 60 and had good luck with all but the wheel. I have done figurines, bells with figures on top, jewelry pieces, a plaque, some bowls, figures for our manger.--still working on those. I have one wise man to do and two ready to fire along with a camel and one side of Bethlehem.
I still have to do the other side. The first side was how I hurt my hand.

How did you hurt your hand doing "one side of Bethlehem? "
pixipixil
Jun 7, 2014
For years I have used cardboard cutouts of the "skyline" of Bethlehem but this year I wanted to make the silhouette in ceramic so it would look as good flanging out behind the manger in the daytime as it does at night when it is backlit. It meant preparing a large glob of clay to be turned into a slab and I had to work it up to size by adding to it thru wedging. My hands are very small and could not take the pressure of pushing on such a big piece I guess.

Hi, Barbaranne - I haven't been on Jigsaws for a while: how are you these days? Your story of your rescue dog and the Labradoodle made me very happy :-))

Sorry to say I still have my leg problem, thought we had a solution with a "Negative Pressure Pump" the instruction and the nurse suggested that the dressing stayed in place for 5 days, being an obedient sister we left it, on taking the dressing down the wound had leaked all down the front of the leg and now it is all blistered and no more pumps allowed. Also I am back on antib's for the next 10 days as it is infected. Welcome back and thank you for asking. God bless you.

Dear barbaranne, have been wondering how your leg has been and sorry to hear that you are still having trouble with it. I am sure there is a solution for it and hope they do find it soon. Take care and God bless. Hugs.

I have been put on to a tablet called Mycophenolate mofetil...MMF for short it is helping the healing process, I've also been put on the list for skin grafting, things are looking positive. The biggest problem is the type of ulcer I have does not like to be healed and so there is the possibility that it will break down again.
