Every time I open this puzzle, I can almost smell the fresh coffee aroma that hits you broadside when you open the canister! lol

Love my coffee, coffee flavoured milk, cakes etc etc

Had an interesting morning, tripped on a brick, came down on my left knee and hit the pavers with my forehead with a thunderous CRACK. Had to lay there for about 10 minutes before I could try to get up. My sister took me to the doctor who said nothing was broken and no concussion - just as well I have a hard head. Found a few muscles which had not been used for a while and think I will sleep well tonight.

Good night, God bless and soft landings to all. Hugs.

Sorry you took a bad fall. That is the bane of so many of us older folk. Thank God you didn't break anything or have a concussion. Be careful. There's only one of you.

I'm so sorry to hear of your jarring fall. It might be good to take the day off today, and just be slow, and kind to yourself. Our bodies don't take to those kind of falls to well anymore. I'm so glad you're okay.

Thanks for all your kind thoughts folks, slept well except for turning over when my knee let me know it was not happy!!! Stumbling around like an old lady.....wait....I am an old lady hahahaha. Just looks nasty on my forehead but I will survive as the song says. I do wish God had organised for us to bounce as we age, would save a whole lot of wear and tear hahaha. God bless all of you especially darambo, pixi, jud13 and aknan. Take care, you are all beautiful people. Kiss.

Aussie - Having hit your head so hard worries me. Please get to a doctor or hospital if you start having headaches, blurred vision, dizziness, confusion, etc. We don't want anything bad happening to you.

I did go to the doctor, my sister took me and he said nothing was broken and no concussions. Proves what some people have said for a long time "you have a hard head" - bit sore and sorry but it will heal in time. Thanks for the love. Hugs.

Maybe it is time to use a quad cane, at least outside where the ground is always uneven. It is a good stabilizer for those of us whose balance is poorer than in our younger days. Witch Hazel soaked cotton takes the bruise and deep pain out of a wound. I leave it on at least a half hour. Plastic wrap will hold it on with some medical tape. I will pray for your full recovery.

Hi retirenow, unfortunately it has nothing to do with balance, seems to be a family thing where we have no sense of depth and trip over everything. My father's initials were AWK and when he came to Australia from NZ stayed with a family who told him it was short for awkward. At 19 I stayed with the same family and they called me "little AWK" my daughter and granddaughter seem to have the same problem. Thanks for caring. Hugs.

WOW I just found out about your fall almost a year later. I am so happy that you are still with us and OK after that. I love what you said about God should have made us bouncey in our advancing age. LOL limping around as the doctor called and said I have a bone spur and it was not plantar fac. that is causing a problem for me. Here is a riddle...What goes ninety-nine thump, ninety-nine thump, etc. Ans. a centipede with a broken foot. Ba-boom!

Nothing like the smell of coffee

Mmmm. Love the smell of coffee beans. Surprisingly few young adults here like coffee any more...it's almost impossible to get a decent cup in a café these days. They seem to like it weak.

The constant warnings about every sort of food has taken all the joy out of eating and drinking and made most things weak and tasteless.

My hubby and I don't care for really strong coffee. My parents, on the other hand (and my oldest daughter), like their coffee strong enough to leap out of the cup and march around the table.

I miss strong coffee, though my body doesn't. We used to have a code with the local coffee place. Cafe con leche: normal milky coffee. Serious coffee: very strong. Apostolic coffee: strong enough to raise the dead!

I love the smell of coffee. There used to be a Folger's plant in downtown Kansas City and you could smell the coffee beans being roasted over most of downtown.

I agree w/Judy2014, love my Folger. We use the Black Silk and both of us drink it black. You don't even want to talk to me until my first cup is almost down!

Did you hear about the little boy who woke his mom up and then brought her a cup with soldiers in it? She asked him why, and he said "you always say the best part of waking up is soldiers in your cup! " The youngsters among this group may not get it, but it's a joke on an old advertisement for Folgers Coffee

We have a Maxwell House Coffee plant in our city. The aroma when they roast the beans is heavenly.

I'm gld it was good and you enjoyed it. As a kid I loved cartoons. In my opinion no one has matched the Disney classics--Pinocchio, Snow White, Cinderella and Dumbo. The music was wonderful, too. I don't care for the current modern soundtracks. We saw Jungle Book and I loved the visuals but the music which was carried over from the rior one which I also saw was yucky.

I love a Cappuchino. Meant to tell you that we had our little Grandson born to our Son & Daughter-in-law on Sunday evening. I was praying he would arrive, and be a Sunday baby!! Last night they had to take him to the Hospital, as he had lowered oxygen levels, they did several tests, but the family haven't been told any results yet. Would appreciate any prayers you may feel to pray, for us all. they are keeping him in for 24 hours, and I am so glad about that. The poor Mum is exhausted. When their last baby was born, we had to stay with them for 2 months to help our D.I.L. I hope that they get her back onto her correct pills this time. Many thanks.

Thank you all so much for your prayers. After waiting all day for a Dr to see him, and hopefully discharge him, they were told at 5 pm, that a Dr had seen him during the a.m., & authorized his discharge - As my D.I.L. said "Grrrr", However we're very thankful that all his tests were clear, and his oxygen levels where they should be. Unfortunately we can't go over & see him yet, as we have nasty mucousy coughs. I'm not really enjoying this winter much!!

Aug 10, 2016
Hope your coughs cler up soon. It is smart to stay away until they do. I just got through with a summer cold (flu? ) that lasted weeks and ended with those kind of coughs. It seems even the end of winter doesn't save us from this stuff anymore.

Glenelle so glad your grandson is home and well. Hang in there Grams you'll get to kiss and hug him real soon. I can't wait to be a grandmother, wish my son would get busy. Be safe.
