This was kind of tough, but an interesting puzzle.

I remember as a kid, my dad would rake the leaves into a large pile and after I got a few jumps into the pile, he would burn the leaves - it was such a great smell on a cool autumn day. Kids today will probably never have a chance to smell that great aroma of burning leaves. Now, it seems like people bag them up and the leaves go to a landfill. In areas where there aren't people raking up the leaves and the leaves are allowed to rot where they fall, that is probably one of the best way to fertilize one's lawn. Unfortunately, many towns no longer allow people to allow their leaves to just lay on the ground and decay.
