This puzzle was one of the easiest I have done. Love any kind of squash.

Good golly a lot of gourds!! I think they aren't squashed 'til they're mashed. LOL

Interesting squashes, lovely colours--and such a variety! The squash is such a versatile veggie, and so satisfying on a cold winter day!

Easy puzzle. Love my veggies, so many varieties. It's snowing here today and is supposed to keep snowing through Thanksgiving, well at least we are not traveling. we're going to cook dinner for the older members of my mother in laws church. Many have no where else to go or can't travel in this weather. Our town is very small and mostly retired, although we have had younger families moving in during the last year. Oh well I guess our secret is out. Everyone be safe.

I love Butternut Squash Soup. My niece made it several years ago but she just put in it whatever she wanted and of course no written recipe. I know it had cream cheese in it. It was the best I ever tasted

I miss acorn squash, which aren't available here. Baked in the oven, little butter and salt--we could eat a whole one apeice and want no more!

Don't throw away the seeds! Pan-toast them with a little oil and add a little honey and spices of your choice. Let em cool and you have a wonderful snack, or topping for curries or soups.

Orinoco,
Where are you from? I'm in Michigan, U.S.A. I've never heard of curries. Your way of roasting the seeds sounds very interesting. That is how I fix acorn squash too. In fact I just had one about a week ago.

I baked a 'pie' pumpkin and an acorn squash the other day. Roasted the seeds the next day and they were awesome!! Almost liked them better than the squash! ;-)

I'm with you on that. I love roasted pumpkin and squash seeds with a little Kosher salt. mmm good!

A definite to keep and eat the seeds - I like them dried just as they are. Never liked them in the boxes all salted as a snack when we were young. It just numbed all the natural flavor of the seeds.

I didn't realize how simple and easy the seeds were going to be to prepare. I get them prepped so when the squash comes out of the oven, they can go in! yum!!

The snack item I was referring to was pumpkin seeds immersed in a white crusty salt outer shell. Not the same as adding salt to them yourself. But enjoy them however you please.

Ya, I've had the 'store bought' seeds, and they are WAY too salty. Will never go back to them now that I've discovered homemade! ;-)

So many varieties, wonder what they all taste like.

"Vegetables are a must on a diet. I suggest carrot cake, zucchini bread, and pumpkin pie." Jim Davis

"There are two ways of being happy: We must either diminish our wants or augment our means - either may do - the result is the same and it is for each man to decide for himself and to do that which happens to be easier." Benjamin Franklin

Good night and God bless. Hugs.

Those are great ways to get your veggies in! I'd add onion rings and stuffed peppers, and just about anything that can be eaten raw with ranch dressing or dips.

Lots of good shapes and colors here.
We just got back from seeing the newest Bond movie. Except for the opening chase it was disappointing. Not as creative as the older Sean Connery Bonds but I do like Craig the best of the replacements. Sometimes I think "Hollywood" has run out of ideas so stuff just gets recycled with different actors.
I look forward to the new Star Wars and the Moby Dick type one coming out. I loved Everest. We see more foreign movies than anything else but too many are still doing the holocaust and after a while I can't take any more. Very few foreign movies are upbeat.
As a teen I loved tear-jerkers but now I just want to escape or be intrigued. Tired of mafia. Tired of football and boxing. Don't bother with "day after" types or horrors. Too bad musicals arent\'t popular these days. There was nothing nicer than a Rogers and Hammerstein show.
Wishing you all variety, the spice of life.
