Really, a falcon. Any I ever saw were a little evil looking. This little fuzz muffin looks like he doesn't have a predatory bone in his body.

Just don't get close to his razor-sharp beak!

Very pretty bird. FUN puzzle, even though it took me a little longer due to the extra variety of grass weeds to go around the bird.

Prettiest of the falcons. I have never been sure if they named this a sparrow hawk because he's small as a sparrow or because he eats sparrows.
Wishing you the discovery of hidden gems today.

It was because of his size, pixi, although they do eat small birds.

I'll google and let you know CJ. I know they are supposed to be around here in upstate NY but I've yet to spot one.

Hi CJ. I finally got around to googling the range. Apparently it's very common and doesn't bother poultry so it isn't a nuisance to farmers but goes after finches and such from coast to coast but not in the woods. Here's a link for a nice description by Audobon.
