This looks really good to me, almonds are one of my favorites and also this looks like it is a really moist cake, don't like most cakes to dry for me to eat with out some sauce or ice cream on it.
I've never had almond cake, but, that looks really good, kind of like carrot cake without the carrots.
This could be a pretty expensive cake because of all the almonds. Almonds in the United States are mainly grown in California and it takes over 2 gallons of water to grow an almond. Not good if it takes that much water during a drought.
